HYPERCOMPUTATION
WORKSHOP

A one-day workshop organised
jointly by the Turing Project and the Philosophy Department of the
University of Reading.
A hypercomputer is any
information-processing device able to carry out tasks that cannot
be carried out by a universal Turing machine. Various mathematical
and theoretical models have been proposed, including neural network
models. The workshop will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas
in this emerging field.
Speakers will include:
Carol Cleland, Jack Copeland, Mark Hogarth, Gert-Jan Lokhorst, Oron
Shagrir, Hava Siegelmann, and Mike Stannett.
